Middle East turmoil revives Norway push for Arctic drilling
Norway — which is not an EU member but is closely aligned on many issues — has often extolled the virtues of stable energy supplies from a peaceful, democratic country.

Qatar halted its production of liquefied natural gas on Monday, as Iran continued to strike Gulf countries in retaliation for Israeli and U.S. attacks.
JERA, Japan’s largest utility, will purchase around 3 million tons of liquefied natural gas per year from QatarEnergy beginning in 2028, according to an announcement in Doha on Tuesday.
