Guzman (2-2), making his 10th appearance this year, fanned 12 batters and walked none. He gave up two singles to Taichiro Kamisaka in the sixth and ninth innings and did not let a batter past first base in his first complete game of the season to help Yokohama snap its losing streak at three.
Boi Rodriguez, who went 3-for-3, singled home a run in the first inning and the BayStars added two more runs in the fourth on back-to-back RBI singles by Mike Gulan and Tatsuhiko Kinjo.
Tigers starter Tetsuro Kawajiri (2-3) was tagged with the loss after giving up three runs in 4 1/3 innings.
Hanshin lost its third straight.

At Hiroshima Stadium, Martin Vargas (2-2) combined with four relievers on a three-hit shutout as Chunichi beat the Carp, sending Hiroshima to its sixth straight loss.
The Dragons broke a 0-0 deadlock in the fourth with Kazuyoshi Tatsunami’s RBI single. In the ninth, Motonobu Tanishige and Hiroyuki Watanabe hit back-to-back solo homers to extend Chunichi’s lead.
Giants 11, Swallows 4
Takayuki Saito went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and connected for a go-ahead two-run double in the fifth as Yomiuri beat Yakult at the Tokyo Dome.
The win over the second place Swallows, who are now 10 games behind CL leader Yomiuri, gave the Giants a “magic number” of 34 for winning the pennant.
